I have been writing poems since the 80's.
While my collection is extensive,
I post a only few of my favorites here.
Will be adding more.
THE TRAGEDY OF KRISTY
To those of you haven't read the story,
It's not a happy tale of glory.
It's the story of the tragedy,
That happened to young Kristy.
Sweet and innocent, just a teen,
She got attracted to the night life scene.
Defying her mother, breaking her heart.
Tearing their family completely apart.
Fast moving nights and days so long.
Kristy knew what she was doing was wrong.
Being bought and sold, treated like trash.
By whatever man had enough cash.
Her mother fought, she knew there was a way,
To bring her daughter home some day.
Months of heartache, years of pain.
The tears fell from her mother like rain.
Then the day was finally here,
Kristy decided it was time to be square.
She woke up and faced the fact.
She knew she wanted her old life back.
She had to struggle, it was rough.
But Kristy and her mom were very tough.
They loved each other and stuck together.
They thought their happiness was back forever.
Until one day, she got the call.
Her mother's worst nightmare of all.
Kristy hadn't returned to that life again.
That's why her death is so hard to expalin.
It all remains a mystery.
Whatever happened to sweet Kristy?

MY FRIEND, THE WIND
The wind is my friend.
He listens when I am down.
He is always there for me.
When no one else is around.
When I am sad and all alone,
And no one seems to care.
I go outside and talk to the wind,
And tell all that I want to share.
So when in need of a good friend.
And talking is a big must.
Go outside and tell it to the wind.
For he is a friend you can trust.
